Welcome to CassaVantage

At CassaVantage Ltd, we are pioneering the future of agriculture in Canada — starting with the livestock sector. Through cutting-edge research and global partnerships, we're harnessing the untapped power of cassava leaves to create sustainable, nutrient-rich feed solutions.

Our vision is simple: to transform how we feed animals, nourish people, and sustain the planet — all from a single, versatile crop.

Our Mission

At CassaVantage Ltd, we are committed to revolutionizing agriculture and nutrition by unlocking the full potential of cassava — starting with the livestock sector. Our mission is to create sustainable, nutrient-rich, and economically viable solutions that strengthen Canada's agricultural systems while contributing to global food security. We bridge global research, local cultivation, and science-backed product development to provide innovative feed, food, and wellness solutions from cassava — driving environmental sustainability, economic resilience, and healthier ecosystems.

Our Story

CassaVantage was born out of a bold vision: to redefine the role of cassava beyond its traditional roots and introduce its untapped value to the Canadian agricultural ecosystem. It began with a deep curiosity in 2017, when our founder, Mosh Louisa Biasa Hevi, discovered cassava not just as a staple crop but as a transformational asset capable of elevating economies and ecosystems. The journey spanned continents — from pitch sessions in China, the Netherlands, and Denmark to research collaborations in Colombia and Canada. When conventional pathways fell short, we created our own, engaging directly with researchers, farmers, policymakers, and industry players.

This global exploration led to a breakthrough insight: the nutritional potency of cassava leaves, particularly as a high-protein, mineral-rich animal feed ingredient. We validated this through Colombian research, Canadian lab testing, and consultations with leading agronomists and feed specialists. What started as a vision has now grown into a science-backed initiative — ready to supply Canada's livestock and food industries with sustainable, locally adapted cassava products.

Encouraged by research findings, expert consultations, and the urgent need for sustainable feed alternatives in Canada, we formalized CassaVantage Ltd with a clear directive:

To introduce cassava-based innovations starting with the livestock sector, and expanding into broader nutrition markets.

The Opportunity

Livestock

Canada's livestock industry faces growing challenges:

• Rising costs of imported protein feeds like soy and alfalfa
• Increased pressure for sustainable, climate-resilient agriculture
• Consumer demand for traceable, locally sourced feed ingredients

At the same time, the global feed market is projected to grow exponentially, driven by the need for higher productivity, animal health, and eco-friendly solutions. Yet, there is a critical gap: few locally grown, high-protein, sustainable feed ingredients tailored for the Canadian environment.

Cassava — particularly its leaves — presents an untapped, nutrient-dense solution to close this gap.

Our Road Map

Phase 1: Livestock Feed → Phase 2: Pet Nutrition → Phase 3: Food & Health Ingredients

Why Cassava?

21–28% crude protein

70+ tons/ha/year forage yield

Strong digestibility and fiber profile

Thrives in marginal soils with minimal irrigation

Safe when dried or ensiled

Globally Proven

Decades of research by Agrosavia, CIAT, and CLAYUCA have shown cassava forage improves:
Milk yield
Feed conversion
Body condition in cattle

We're building on that legacy—now in Alberta.
